Nicki Minaj Dedicates ‘Anaconda’ to Republican Presidential Hopeful
During her performance at the Time 100 Gala, Nicki Minaj took a bold initiative by dedicating her hit Anaconda Performance to the Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
The Time 100 Gala takes place every year at different venues in order to mark the 100 most influential people in the World. This year the Gala took place at Lincoln Centre Venue where Nicki was undoubtedly the star charm.
While the motto of the event was entirely different, the name of Donald Trump resonated in it throughout the day. Before Minaj invented an indifferent method to pay tribute to the Presidential hopeful, the likes of John Green also mentioned the name of the brash billionaire, albeit in a very different manner.
Mr Green suggested where his loyalties lie as he clearly stated that he doesn’t want to see Donald Trump as the Republican Presidential Nominee in mid-November.
Talking about the 100 most influential people in the World and Times also included the name of Nicki Minaj in the Icons section. Speaking to a large group of reporters, Minaj said that she hopes that her hit Song has the ability to join Donald Trump with vice President Joe Biden.
“I’m very political and I would like to dedicate a song in the spirit of unity to Joe Biden and Donald Trump,” she suggested before performing “Anaconda.” After finishing the song she asked, “Who do you think likes the biggest butts? Donald Trump or Joe Biden? Trump?”
Surprisingly, Donald Trump was also in attendance as the billionaire has also been named in the Time 100 list. In addition to Trump, the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Caitlyn Jenner, and Ariana Grande are also included in the list.
When asked about how he liked the red carpet performance of the Singer, Trump suggested that she was “terrific”.
Thus, while Trump left the event early to concentrate on his election, he didn’t miss the chance to promote his goodwill with an influential figure like Minaj.
