Lithuania, a European country neighboring Russia is the hot topic of the world since Saturday, 14 May when a small restaurant exhibited a 6-feet street mural that shows Russian politician, Vladimir Putin and presumptive US President, Donald Trump locking lips.

The Smoking Pig or Keule Ruke restaurant is a small eatery in Vilinus, the capital city. Earlier, the place also displayed an image from 1979 that shows Communist leaders, Leonid Brezhnev and Erich Hoenecker locking lips too. It is a common practice of greeting for men by kissing on lips.

When asked about whether the image of Trump and Putin resembled the two leaders coincidentally, the owner of the restaurant answered in negative. He said that the resemblance is not unintentional. He said that the borderline is not there in Berlin now, but someplace in the Baltic nations between the West and the East.

Baltic state Lithuania was under the rule of Soviets for many decades. It became independent after the Soviet Union fell in 1990s. Ceckauskas also said that the mural is a satire on what is expected when Trump and Putin will meet. He added that they look like they will get along well. It is important to note that both the leaders have praised each other in the recent past.

Mindaugas Bonanu is the creator of this interesting painting that has gone viral in less than two days all over the world. It has a caption written underneath, “Make Everything Great Again”, which is a teaser of campaign slogan of Trump, “Make America Great Again”. Many passerbies have staged a similar kiss in front of this mural.
