The creator of hit albums like Purple Rain, Kiss and many more, US Pop Star Prince has died at the age of 57. He was found on the early Thursday Morning in his home in an unconscious state. However, after several hours of fruitless efforts, the Pop Star was declared dead in the afternoon.
According to his representatives, the 57-year-old spent a better portion of the last weekend in a hospital in Illinois. However, this was more due to an accident than a result of some kind of disease as it was the emergency landing of his private jet that forced him to consult the doctor.
The Musician returned to his home which is located at the Paisley Park on Saturday. This tragic news of his death has come a month after he announced that he was writing a memoir. The Star also called that his memoir will be released in 2018.
According to the Star himself, his memoir was to be given the name of “The Beautiful Ones”. For his fans, this name will ring a bell as it was named after a song from his blockbuster album Purple Rain.
Taking a tentative look at his career and many key moments come forward. His first ever success came from the Album 1999 when a song titled “Little Red Corvette” made it to the top 10 in the U.S. charts. From then on, there was no looking backward for the singer as he went on to give hits after hits over the years.
While his other works were also marvelous, it was the Album Purple Rain that made Prince a star in the US Pop Industry. Songs from that album became so popular that it perched the Album at the top of the US Charts for 6-straight months. In the same year of 1984, his song When Doves Cry earned the accolade of being the US Single of the Year.
Thus, while he will undoubtedly be a big miss for his family, the demise of Prince has left a huge void in the US Pop Industry, one that might not be filled soon.
