The Weeknd got 5 awards, Justin Bieber snags fan choice award, but gets booed by his fans!

Justin Bieber was one of the many pop stars at the Junos who were awarded for their achievements. The biggest winner among all was International superstar, The Weeknd, who claimed five Junos Awards. He definitely needs to rebuild a bigger trophy shelf at his home.

The five awards that the hitmaker took home were divided between two events. He received three awards at a gala event that took place in Calgary and the other two awards were given to him during the televised show.

The Toronto-born pop singer has received a total of nine Junos in his career, with the best single of the year for “Can’t Feel My Face” and best album of the year award for “Beauty Behind the Madness” being his latest ones.

Besides him, Justin Bieber was another big winner who got the Fan Choice Award as per the votes of his viewers. But, the irony is that Bieber received the Fan Choice Award and was booed by the audience. The troubled musician, who was once the darling of Canadians, now gets booed by them. This happened at the Juno Awards, when his name was announced, the audience started booing him.

Being equal to the Grammy Awards, the Junos Awards are the biggest music celebration of Bieber’s home country, Canada. The 22-year-old singer was not in attendance at the award ceremony to listen to the boos of his audience.

Being one of the most popular Canadian artists, Bieber has lots of fans in Canada, due to which he received this honor. But, it seems like the music superstar did not consider the ceremony worth his presence. Maybe, he knew that he will be received with boos at the function, like the 2014 Junos!
