British Couple sues firm for giving sperm from schizophrenic criminal

By  |

A Georgia based sperm donor firm, Xytex Corp, deceived a British lesbian couple by imparting them with the sperm of a schizophrenic criminal in the name of an eloquent speaking Ph.D holder. Margaret Elizabeth Hanson and Angela Collins from Ontario, London contacted Xytex to begin their family in 2006. The women claim that the company made huge claims about the sperm donor. They said that the donor was a master’s degree holder in neuroscience and had a high IQ of 160. He also had command over five different languages. However, the couple found out the truth while expecting their second child from the same donor. The couple is scared their children could become heir to this nasty condition, which may take as long as 40 years to appear. They have sued the company for millions of pounds for compensation.

The women assert that the health checklist of the donor confessed only to one condition and that is color blindness in his family. The counselor of Xytex called the donor perfect. They paid £1,700 every time for the samples of the donor’s sperm and bore their first baby in 2012. Then again, they used sperm from the same donor in 2014. The couple was informed by a mom from Canada who had also procured sperm from him. She had mistakenly received the email ID of the donor. She also told the couple that the name of the donor was James Christian Aggeles and that he was father to 36 children. He was arrested once for burglary and was behind the bars for eight months.

The firm, however, denied the claims of the couple. They said that they comply with industry standards and will file defense for themselves.
